Apex Apprentice Graduation

Our Sidcup workshop is not only where we design and manufacture lifts, but also where we nurture the next generation of lift industry. We are proud to introduce Micheal Bullworthy and Joseph Gurr, the latest graduates from our Engineering Operative Apprenticeship programme. They gained valuable hands-on experience under the guidance of our Workshop Manager, Alan Simons, and the wider Sidcup team.

As part of their training, apprentices use essential tools such as the Brake Press and the Laser through the CAD CAM software that allows them to achieve the parts required in many aspects of the manufacture process. By learning to apply these tools early, our apprentices develop the skills to diagnose faults safely and ensure both mechanical and electrical systems are operating reliably.

The practical training, combined with technical knowledge gained through MidKent College, has equipped Michael and Joseph with the professional skills and best practices needed to succeed in a demanding environment.

At our Sidcup workshop, apprentices learn not just the technical skills of manufacturing quality lifts, but also embrace our ethos of professionalism, sustainability, and safety. Micheal and Joseph are hardworking and talented, and I’m confident they will continue to deliver the bespoke lifts our customers expect.  – Alan Simons, Workshop Manager
