Sweet Success: Apex wins maintenance contract with Workspace

23 June 2017

Here at Apex, we are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Workspace, a stellar company which offers a range of modern building spaces for businesses across London. Our
fully comprehensive maintenance contract will initially last for three years, servicing 125 lifts, as well as a complete lift modernisation at Workspace’s Chocolate Factory building.

Throughout the contract term, we will service passenger, goods, platform and hoist lifts spread across 47 Workspace buildings. Inclusive of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), call outs and repairs 24/7, the contract will ensure a safe and reliable lift service for each office. In addition, we have been commissioned to modernise a passenger lift at the striking Chocolate Factory in Wood Green - once home to Victorian confectionary firm Barratt’s. This will involve replacement of the current machinery, controller, car operator panel as well as a full rewire and clean down.

“It is clear Apex has an outstanding reputation for service, quality and technical ability,” said Head of Facilities Management at Workspace, Andrew Watts. “The team has exceeded expectations on what they can offer, which led to an enhanced contract from the one we were initially seeking. Accessibility and safety for all the employees in our offices is of key importance to us so it is essential that our elevators always perform at their very best.”

“We are delighted to team up with Workspace,” says Apex MD, Warren Jenchner, adding, “Our engineers will always be on hand to deal with any issues at Workspace’s 47 unique spaces, and we relish the challenges of working on such a diverse contract. With so many buildings to oversee, Workspace will use our online tool, CALM, for reporting and real-time updates to monitor maintenance at all times.”
