As proud Royal Warrant Holders to HM The Queen, Apex Lifts, wished to partake with the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative by planting a tree to commemorate and celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee and, to work towards our independent sustainable targets.

The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. The scheme invites people from across the United Kingdom to ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee.’ With a focus on planting sustainably, the QGC encouraged the planting of trees to create a legacy in honour of The Queen’s leadership of the Nation, which will benefit for future generations. In addition to the planting of new trees, the QGC will dedicate a network of 70 Ancient Woodlands across the United Kingdom and identify 70 Ancient Trees to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years of service.

Apex Lifts chose to plant a Styrax Japonicus ‘June Snow’ tree at our Head Office, located in Bexleyheath. Known as ‘June Snow’, the tree blooms white snowdrop flowers which are in full display from the beginning of June – acting as another honour to Her Majesty’s official Royal Birthday Celebration. The tree has been planted as a feathered bush and will be crown lifted over time to form a small tree.
