Apex Lifts rises to the top in Business Excellence Awards 2016

Here at Apex Lifts, we are delighted to announce we have scooped an award for ‘Apprentice Employer of the Year’ at the Bexley Business Excellence Awards 2016. The accolade was presented at a special Gala Dinner held on 9th June at Bexleyheath Marriott Hotel, compered by top TV comedian and sports pundit, Kevin Day.

We were shortlisted for not just one award but two including ‘Made In Bexley’ in which we achieved ‘highly commended’. The awards were judged by a panel of experts who shortlisted entries and invited the lucky companies to the next stage of the process.  This included an in-depth entry form and a judging day involving a face-to-face interview.

We managed to tick all boxes, impressing judges by demonstrating how we go the extra mile to support young people.  The judges were looking for a business that showed a high standard of support with clear benefits for apprentices, while demonstrating return on investment and financial viability. The winning company also needed to be committed to sustaining an apprenticeship programme and provide evidence of benefits to the organisation. We were able to do just that to stand out amongst other local businesses in the running.
