Modernisation Project - Lambeth Council

As a leading independent lift manufacturer, we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a lift modernisation project from Lambeth Council, as part of our existing framework agreement. Work on the project is due to commence in January 2018, and is expected to last a year.

With the lift modernisation forming part of Lambeth’s wider regeneration project, we have been tasked with modernising 23 lifts with various capacities, all of which are based in residential buildings across three Lambeth Estates. This will involve the major modernisation of all lifts, retaining only the guide rails, brackets and counterweights. We will also be manufacturing all bespoke steel works for the lifts in-house.

“Having worked with Apex Lifts on previous occasions, we have first-hand experience of their quality of work, utmost professionalism and exceptional service,” says Cllr Jennifer Brathwaite, Cabinet Member for Housing & Environment at Lambeth Council. “Accessibility and safety for Lambeth residents is a priority and Apex Lifts clearly understands our needs, our standards and challenges of the project.”

“We’re delighted that Lambeth Council has chosen to continue working with Apex Lifts,” says Warren Jenchner, Apex Lifts’ Managing Director. “Because of our existing working partnership and previous project experience within the borough, we already have a good understanding of their requirements, as well as broad experience within the local authority sector. This all stands us in good stead for this latest project.”
