Here at Apex, we are thrilled to have received a Gold Medal for the ninth consecutive year at the RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Health and Safety Awards 2018. The accolade was for the ‘Achievement’ category recognising our exceptional approach to health and safety.
This prestigious award is only given to winners sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years. We submitted a detailed entry, providing evidence of compliance and excellence against a strict set of health and safety criteria laid down by RoSPA. The RoSPA Awards Scheme, which received entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”
Our HSQE Manager, Jim Johnson, was thrilled to receive the award. “It is a joy to receive the ROSPA gold medal in our 9th year of submission. It is a great reflection on our company and our Health and Safety systems. We always strive to provide the best service possible without compromising on safety and this award supports that ethos.”
We are delighted to have been recognised by RoSPA as it is a reflection of the positive health and safety culture and effort put in by every single person in the company.
